Here’s a passage from the book I’m currently reading…”Many Lives, Many Masters” by the wonderful Brian Weiss. I encourage everyone to check out this book. I’m only half way through with it and it has already changed my life.

I decided to enroll in the advanced Photojournalism course this semester to further my skills and progress more as a photojournalist. It was such a challenge for me last semester, but I had a lot of fun doing it and I’m actually really excited for it!
Our first assignment for the semester was kind of like a refresher/overview of last semester…overall, medium, and detail. It’s basically telling a story through photos from different perspectives.
Here’s my overall. I thought it worked because it shows the sign of the company, the owner of the company (right), the customer (left), the merchandise, etc….
Medium; nice connection between the customer and the owner.
Detail.
Enjoy

This semester, I finally joined the photography club at school and we had our first meeting on Thursday. I’m definitely trying to put myself out there this year and try different things. Not that photography is something new to me, but it’s always been something I’ve done for myself. Being around other photographers is really intimidating to me and so is portrait/nightlife photography. Having to ask someone to take their picture and them expecting it to come out really good?! (Brb crawling into a whole…) Nevertheless, I AM getting over it. So here we be…[vent over. Thanks for listening.]
So every month in photography club we do a photo challenge. This month, it’s long exposure. Although I understand how to expose my camera properly and everything, I’ve never purposely shot long exposure. It’s always been an accidental thing when I’m shooting in dark situations (but those were my pre-flash days)…like this one, for example.
Unintentional long exposure.
Anyway…this is my friend, Sean. He spins poi. He spins FIRE poi! (Oooooh!!! Aahhhhh!!!) No, but really…he’s the real deal.
By the way, don’t try this at home.
This was such a fun shoot for me. I was able to capture the sunset in the background which brought another fun element to the photo.
Here’s a link to my Facebook album from Art Basel.
And some more that were posted by Keg TV.
This is me being lazy.
Barstool Blackout, that is. Keg TV took OVER Revolution last month and things got, as you kids are saying, “cray.” Or perhaps “ratchet” is the more appropriate term for this situation. Obviously I’m not accustomed to your adolescent jargon, or slang, but umm….YOLO? (Okay Kiki you’re not funny either….)
(#CuttingToTheChase) Here are some pictures I picked out to post from Barstool Blackout…note, this is pre-external flash. Oh yea, and obviously this post is suuuuuuper late, but that’s kind of how I roll. Oh yea…that awkward moment when you realized at the end of the night that you actually DID have a press pass…
For those of you who don’t know what Barstool Blackout is, it’s basically a chance for that group of guys to wear those incredibly stupid t-shirts with even more incredibly stupid sayings on them.
But, of course, not everybody can go out and buy a stupid t-shirt…so they have to express their creativity (or lack therof) in their own way.
I DOUBT IT….
Ehrmergerd…Neon!
Whistle guy…NO.
And, of course, it wouldn’t be a good show without underage girls doing things that would make their fathers cry.
Meet: Shippwreck Jay. Kandi kid, nightlife photographer, and suuuuuuper nice guy!
And, of course, everyone’s favorite DUB QUEEN! #CakeTacosMEOW!!!!!! @jenna_aviva on Instagram
If you know me, then you know my absolute favorite holiday is Thanksgiving…so adored that we start planning for it the day after that year’s Thanksgiving.
I had such a wonderful holiday this year, thanks to my family who joined us from Dallas (where I’m from) and Boston (where I should be).
Family over everything.
I hope to look as hot as my grandma when I’m her age <3
First Thanksgiving together in 7 years <3
Stay classy, San Diego.
Or some other irrelevant caption for that photo.
Last weekend [ehrmergerd I can't believe it's been a week already!], I gathered with about 30,000 other #Insomniacs at my second Electric Daisy Carnival music festival in Orlando.
I drove up with three of my guy friends and crashed with some old high school friends at their house off-campus of UCF. Being the only girl in a house of eight other guys wasn’t exactly my ideal situation, but it actually ended up working out pretty well (I know what you’re thinking, but I actually slept on the couch alone thank you very much).
I was so nervous about staying with this group for the weekend as I wasn’t sure of how they would respond to my…choice of apparel, however, I was pleasantly surprised that they all were sort of interested in the whole lifestyle. I brought an entire bag of #kandi which was dispersed amongst the group evenly…they all wanted to wear it and were curious as to what each one represented. They even wanted to learn how to properly trade their kandi and I was pleased that throughout the weekend, they were teaching other people how to trade, too! All of them even complimented me multiple times on my outfit and were really excited to be seen with me!
After spending over an hour on the “line ride,” our group headed in to the wonderful that is the Electric Daisy Carnival <3 I wore my unicorn mask the first day and people were lining up to take photos with me! #InstaFamous
You can thank these guys for coining the phrase “pulling a Kiki” that weekend; it means going to an event (show, concert, music festival, Monday afternoon, etc.) sober!
I “pulled a Kiki” the entire weekend (what, like it’s hard?) and had an incredible time! The phrase is becoming more and more popular and I’m very proud of it
EDC would be nothing without the music, though. These events are known for the costumes and the drugs (unfortunately), but a lot of people seem to forget what it’s all really about.
With that being said, I heard some of the most incredible sets that weekend!
Friday: Cosmic Gate, Krewella, Markus Schulz, Porter Robinson, Crizzly, Bassnectar, and BORGORE!
I was by myself, front row, in my unicorn mask for the one and only BORGORE! (Recognize the mask from the Decisions video, anyone? #CakeCakeCake)
Saturday: Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Lucky Date, Hook N Sling, Cedric Gervais (magical), Morgan Page (incredible), R3hab, and Shermanology.
I cried when Shermanology dropped “Don’t You Worry Child.” Yes. Cried. And then they tweeted me back when I told them that.
Unfortunately I had to leave early on Saturday and wasn’t able to see Armin Van Buuren, but I did see him at EDC Vegas earlier this year and I guarantee I’ll be seeing him again many times in the future!
If I could say one thing to Pasqualle Rotella, I would just thank him for turning our fantasies into realities. My young adult life has been made so much more exciting because of his work and I am so blessed to have attended my second EDC!
I am so grateful to have yet another opportunity to escape “reality” and attend EDC Vegas 2013! I hope to see some of you there!

I got to trick and treat this Halloween with the amazing crew of Keg TV!
Keg TV is an online college reality show (kind of like College Humor). Shows will air some time in 2013 and we’re in the process of filming now.
I’m starting to do some part-time work for them so pleeeease go like them on Facebook!
I had the amazing opportunity to hang out with these guys and promote for Keg TV on Halloween at Revolution for Electrik Circus! The lineup featured up and coming Corporate Slackrs who played a rowdy set! R.L Grime, Brass Knuckles, and Felix Cartal also put on a great show!
Can’t go anywhere without twerking!!! #ExpressYourself #Diplo
No pictures pleeeeaseeee!
I should have posted this earlier…ummmm maybe closer to when the show was on October 2nd or 3rd….
Pretty Lights was amaaaaazing!!!! The energy was so good at this show!! The crowd was a lot more diverse than most of the shows I go to, but they were definitely chill.
Great show, great company. Couldn’t have asked for more!

I gave her a special kandi bracelet; the ‘evil eye’ is the eye of Medusa from Greek mythology. On the other side are purple evil eyes…definitely one of the most meaningful bracelets I’ve ever made and traded
I brought Josh Long along with me for this one. He had never been to a show like this…doesn’t he look just like Zac Efron? Super cute
And, of course, he couldn’t keep his clothes on. #PornStarProblems
